Dr. Christopher Pittman, a Tampa phlebologist, was elected president of the Hillsborough County Medical Association.

Pittman succeeds Dr. William Davison as president of the association, which has more than 1,300 members involved in health care.

Pittman received his medical degree from the University of South Florida in 1988 and began to practice interventional radiology at Tampa General Hospital in 1994, according to a written statement.

He specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of vein diseases.
